My Life as a Musician

Updated: Sep 21, 2023

By now I am sure you all know the story.

My journey from Wall Street to music is well documented in Texas Monthly magazine's March 2022 issue. If you are interested in reading the article, here it is.

Two years ago, I decided to start this website to feature my original creations: stories, music and a podcast.

Since then, I was nearly cast in Netflix's Squid Game: The Challenge (and it appears it was fortunate I wasn't selected according to the on-set drama alluded to in this recent article in Rolling Stone).

Furthermore, I have submitted my short stories to prestigious creative writing competitions and auditioned for musical performance slots, amongst other initiatives to raise awareness for my brand.

I have become used to hearing the word "No," but I am not discouraged.

Conversely, I believe my music and writing are at the highest levels they have ever been in my lifetime.

My fiction short story from December - "Trey's Tale", has already won an honorable mention award from one of the afore-mentioned writing competitions, and I am hoping for more.

On the music side, I have been in and out of Life Sound Studio here in Austin, Texas recording several tracks professionally.

Here is one titled "Mainframe."

"Mainframe" is about social media and the digital age in which we live. It features local BMI recording artist and rapper Miss Jaywalk and is our first collaboration together.

I hope you enjoy the country rap vibe we have.

Miss Jaywalk will also be joining me live on the stage on March 9th at XSPACE Austin.

The special event will feature musical performances from a number of artists, including myself, as well as a fashion show.

You can find more details about the event here. It is RSVP only, so if you are interested in attending, please register for the event, as it will definitely sell out.

I am excited to write about the XSPACE show and drop it to the podcast in March.

Thank you so much for continuing to support me and my initiatives. It really means the world to me.

Here is to more amazing opportunities for us all.
